problem with connection to LG TV

Hi,

I have just purchased, one of your sounddock cables. I was excited in the expectation of hooking in to my TV, to improve the sound quality.

My LG TV model is 37LG5000.

I have connected the headphone output from the TV, to the bose sounddock. Though, no sound is coming through.

I have also checked output is coming through from the TV headphone out, by connecting a set of headphones directly to the same port of the TV. All fine.

I've additionally attempted to connect it to my computer, with no success. Also, with the output working fine.

Is there something I am doing incorrectly here, or is the cable faulty?

It doesn't seem to be activating the bose sounddock.

Please help!
